All about Copycat Payday Bars

When it comes to candy and sweets everyone has their tried-and-true favorites that they stick with forever.  And when you find homemade versions of the ones you love, it is best to share.  These copycat payday candy bars are the perfect treat to have on hand whenever your peanut or peanut butter cravings strike…and boy will you be glad you had this recipe.

Not only do these bars taste just like the real deal, but they’re also pretty easy to make.  All you need are five ingredients, plus a stovetop or microwave.  You combine the butter and peanut butter chips together in a saucepan, then heat them until the mixture is melted and smooth, then all you do is pour in the sweetened condensed milk and marshmallows stirring until the mixture is smooth.  Pour half the salted peanuts to line the bottom of the pan, then pour the peanut marshmallow mixture on top, sprinkling the remaining peanuts over the smoothed out top layer.

This treat comes together in a matter of minutes, and, before you know it, the bars are set and read to be sliced and served.  It’s a no-bake treat, meaning you can make this any time of the year without having to turn on your oven or heat up the kitchen – which is especially the worst on those hot summer days.  Making this recipe is a win-win in our book for sure!
