All about Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Bars
Do you like pumpkin recipes? We do! Pumpkin pie is one of our absolute favorite pumpkin recipes, but we all love a good pumpkin bar too. Every time we make these pumpkin bars, they’re a hit and we wonder why we don’t make them more often. These aren’t your traditional pumpkin bars with cream cheese frosting, but the chocolate chips make them absolutely delicious. You won’t even miss the frosting or the traditional pumpkin bar.
These pumpkin bars don’t last long at our house. They are just so good! They come together quickly and easily which are our favorite kind of recipes. You just need a few ingredients and it’s easy enough that the kids can help out too. Your house will smell so good while these bake that you will hardly be able to let them cool enough to eat.
Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Bars

Ingredients
- 2 cups flour
- 1 tbsp pumpkin pie spice
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup butter softened
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 2 tsp vanilla
- 1 cup canned pumpkin puree
- 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips
Instructions

Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Generously grease a 9 x 13 pan.

Add flour, pumpkin pie spice, baking soda, and salt in a small bowl. Stir until well-combined.

In a separate bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add egg and vanilla to mixture. Mix well. Then beat in pumpkin.

Add the dry mixture to the wet (mix well), then fold in chocolate chips and spread batter evenly into pan.

Bake for 30 minutes or until edges begin to pull away from the pan and the center is set (toothpick inserted in the center is clean).

Cool completely before cutting. Then Enjoy!
How long will they keep?
These Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Bars will stay good for a couple of days at room temperature in an airtight container. If not eaten within a couple of days, move them into the refrigerator for longer storage. But they probably won’t last that long because they are so yummy!
