Today we’re sharing a recipe for DIY Dawn Powerwash Refill.  This dish spray used for faster grease cleaning is where it is at when it comes to those hard to wash dishes!

All about DIY Dawn Powerwash Refill

But what we didn’t love was the cost of refilling our power wash bottle.  Therefore, we tried and came up with a recipe that is spot on and to work just as well as the original cleaner that came in the spray bottle.  It’s crazy that you typically have everything you need on hand to be able to make this refill solution yourself.  Who would have thought?!

But seriously, if you love Dawn dish soap you probably already have that on hand.  And you have distilled water and rubbing alcohol on hand too.  Well, they say distilled but I just used water from my Berkey water filter.  So, if you too have wondered if you could refill the Dawn Powerwash yourself, Yes You Can!

Ingredients

  • 13 oz distilled water (filtered water)
  • 4 tbsp Dawn Original dish soap
  • 2 tbsp rubbing alcohol

Instructions

  1. Fill a measuring cup or mason jar with distilled water.

  2. Pour Dawm Original dish soap and alcohol into the water.

  3. Stir ingredients and let it sit for a while to allow the alcohol and water enough time to blend.

  4. After the mixture seems to have blended well and settled, pour the mixture into the empty spray bottle. Attach spray nozzle. Shake well before each use.

This recipe makes enough to refill a 16oz bottle, but if you want to make more, you can just double or triple the ingredients.

Please enjoy and share this money saving hack with others.  I know every penny counts especially these days.  So, if you cut costs by making as much of your cleaners and other food as possible, you will save sooooo much money.  This dawn powerwash refill probably costs you $1 or less to make when the refill in the store costs about $5.  Just think how much you could save on this cleaner alone.
