Chocolate Peanut Butter Cookies

Today we’re sharing a recipe for Chocolate Peanut Butter Cookies.  These are a rich and chewy chocolate cookie filled with peanut butter chips and Reese’s Pieces.  The peanut butter to chocolate ratio is absolutely perfect in these delicious cookies!

All about Chocolate Peanut Butter Cookies

If you love cookies and you love peanut butter and chocolate together, this recipe is for you.  They are so yummy.  The chocolate cookie is chewy like a brownie cookie but better and then you add in the peanut butter chips and the Reese’s pieces and it sets them over the top. 

We’re always trying new cookie recipes and when we find one that is good, we feel that we must share.  Sharing is caring and we feel that you can make the most delicious treats at home and for them to better and healthier than those you can buy in a store.  Not to mention, that they are less expensive to make and home too. 

Whipping up a batch of cookie dough isn’t hard and doesn’t take a lot of baking experience either.  If you can follow the recipe, make sure to chill your dough, then you will come out with the same product you see pictured here.  Be sure to give them recipe a try if you love all things chocolate and peanut butter, you won’t be disappointed. 

Chocolate Peanut Butter Cookies

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup butter softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbsp vanilla
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1/2 cup baking cocoa
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp milk
  • 1/2 – 3/4 cup peanut butter chips
  • 1 cup Reese's Pieces Mini or Regular sized

Instructions

  1. Cream together butter, granulated sugar and brown sugar.

  2. Add the egg and vanilla. Mix until light in color and creamy.

  3. Add in the dry ingredients (flour, baking cocoa, baking soda and salt), mix into the dough. When the dry ingredients are about halfway mixed in, add the milk to the dough. Mix until completely combined. The dough will be very soft.

  4. Fold in the peanut butter chips and Reese's Pieces.

  5. Use a cookie scoop to scoop or roll the dough into equal sized balls. Chill the dough balls for at least one hour.

  6. When you're ready to bake your cookies, preheat your oven to 350 degrees.

  7. Arrange your cookies as you would for baking. Make sure not to bake too many cookies on a pan as they will spread slightly during baking. Bake cookies for about 9 minutes or until the cookies are puffy and no longer glossy on top.

Let’s be honest, these and most cookies taste the best the same day they are made.  With that said, these cookies will last a couple of days in an airtight container at room temperature.  After that, they’re texture might change and the cookies will become less soft.
