DIY Freezer Rolls

Today we’re sharing a recipe for DIY Freezer Rolls.  If you love having Rhodes Rolls than you’re in luck. This recipe shows you everything you need to know to make your own Rhodes Rolls.

While you can make freezer rolls with any roll recipe, we feel that the recipe can make all the difference.  We use our Amish Potato Rolls recipe for these freezer rolls.  This recipe makes delicious rolls if made on its own but also makes great freezer rolls.

The great thing about DIY freezer rolls is that you can take out as many or few as you need at a time.  You need only a few hours to let them thaw and rise and they are ready to bake.  We put them on a proofer setting in our oven for 2 ½ hours and they thaw and rise perfectly in this amount of time.  At room temperature, they may take just a little longer but not much.

Another great idea is to make up a large batch of freezer rolls so that you have rolls for your meals for the next month or so.  Batch cooking or in this case batch freezer prepping can really be a game changer when you are trying to make healthy food and meals from scratch for your family.
