Today we’re sharing a recipe for Sausage and Cream Cheese Stuffed Biscuits. These biscuits are the perfect hearty and filling make-ahead breakfast recipe.

What are Sausage and Cream Cheese Stuffed Biscuits?

These biscuits are topped with a sausage cheese mixture. When they are hot, the sausage cheese mixture is similar to a gravy but thickens as it cools. These biscuits are the perfect addition to your breakfast, brunch, or breakfast dinner menu.  They are a great recipe that can be made ahead of time making them great for large gatherings, holiday gatherings, or potlucks.  In addition, they are a great alternative to the traditional biscuits and gravy.

The regular recipe makes 8 biscuits with the meat mixture piled high but you can also split the biscuits in half and use less of this mixture to make it stretch further.  You can also split the biscuits in half and place them in a muffin tin to make little sausage muffins.  You can use store-bought biscuits or can make homemade biscuits.  So just depending on how many you want to make and what ingredients you have on hand, you can determine what will work best for you.
