Copycat Wendy’s Frosty

Today we wanted to share a recipe for a copycat Wendy’s Frosty.

What is a Wendy’s Frosty?

This beloved frosty is one that many people are familiar with.  You either have gotten one as a treat to finish your meal or you went through the drive thru and got just a frosty.  These little Wendy’s Frosties are known to be a yummy and inexpensive treat.   

With the warm weather upon us we’re in search of cool treats and refreshments.  We found this copycat recipe which is surprisingly reminiscent of the beloved Wendy’s Frosty.  But even better you probably have everything on hand and don’t even have to leave the house. 

You might be surprised that this recipe doesn’t even have any ice cream in it.  So this makes it an even healthier option for children or those trying to watch what they eat.  There is no refined sugar and you can use any type of milk or milk alternative that you prefer. 

This copycat Wendy’s Frosty can be given in place of a sweet treat or any other smoothie making it perfect for breakfast, lunch, or any other time during the day.  It may also be enticing for children who love Wendy’s Frosty to be able to make a homemade version. 

Wendy’s Frosty

This easy, healthy, and delicious copycat version of Wendy's Frosty is the perfect smoothie for any meal or snack throughout the day!

Ingredients

  • 10 Ice Cubes
  • 3/4 cup Coconut Milk (or milk of your choice)
  • 1 tbsp Vanilla
  • 2 tbsp Cocoa Powder
  • 1/3 to 1/2 Banana
  • 1 tbsp honey

Instructions

  1. Add all ingredients to blender. Blend and enjoy.

We encourage you to make these Frosties for yourself or for your family.  We’d also encourage you to get your children in the kitchen to help make these smoothies.  After all, you’re merely tossing everything in a blender and you’re done.

  • I am going to try this. We usually use bananas and honey for ice cream treats but my son and daughter would love the chocolate flavor in this. Also my husband, he loves chocolate too.

    • Yes, just add a little cocoa powder for chocolate ice cream treats. Very refreshing too!
