Ingredients

For the Cake:

  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 1 small box orange gelatin Jello
  • 1/2 cup melted butter or oil
  • 1 1/2 cups milk or water
  • 3 eggs

For the Topping:

  • 1 small box instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 4 oz cream cheese softened
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 small can crushed pineapple undrained
  • 3/4 cup orange juice
  • 1 small tub Cool Whip

Instructions

Make the Cake

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.

  2. Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.

  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the yellow cake mix, orange gelatin, butter (or oil), milk, and eggs.

  4. Mix until smooth and well combined.

  5. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish.

  6. Bake for 25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

  7. Allow the cake to cool completely before adding the topping.

Make the Topping

  1. In a medium bowl, beat together the cream cheese and sugar until smooth.

  2. Add the vanilla pudding mix, crushed pineapple, and orange juice. Mix until well combined.

  3. Fold in the Cool Whip until the mixture is light and creamy.

Assemble

  1. Spread the topping evenly over the cooled cake.

  2. Refrigerate until chilled.
