Honey Wheat Pullman Bread

Ingredients

  • 2 cups wheat flour
  • 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 2/3 cups warm water
  • 3 tbsp honey or sugar
  • 2 1/4 tsp yeast
  • 3 tbsp instant potato flakes
  • 1/4 cup dry milk powder
  • 2 1/2 tsp salt
  • 6 tbsp softened butter or 3 tbsp oil and 3 tbsp butter

Instructions

  1. Add all ingredients to stand mixer. Mixer until incorporated.

  2. Knead for 5 minutes.

  3. Add dough to an oiled bowl. Cover and rise until doubled, about 2 hours.

  4. Transfer dough to a Pullman Pan. Let rise for 1 hour.

  5. Bake at 350F degrees for 30 minutes. Remove lid and bake for 5 minutes.

  6. After removing from oven, brush with butter.
