Ingredients

  • 8 tbsp butter (1 stick)
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tsp seasoned salt such as Lawry's or Tony's
  • 1 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 2 cups bagel chips goldfish, cheese crackers, oyster crackers, bugles
  • 5 cups Rice Chex cereal
  • 5 cups Corn Chex cereal
  • 2 cups mini pretzel twists or pretzel sticks
  • 1 cup roasted, salted peanuts or other nuts

Instructions

  1. Heat the oven to 250 degrees F.

  2. Add Chex cereals, crackers, pretzels, and peanuts to your roasting pan or two lined baking sheets.

  3. To make the seasoning mixture, place 1 stick of butter in a medium, microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in 30 second intervals, stirring in between until butter is melted. (Alternatively, you can melt the butter in a small saucepan on the stovetop over low heat.) Then add the Worcestershire sauce, seasoned salt, garlic powder, and onion powder. Whisk well to combine.

  4. Pour half of the butter mixture over the cereal mix and gently toss to coat. Then pour the remaining butter mixture and gently toss again until the butter mixture evenly coats the Chex mix.

  5. Bake at 250 degrees F stirring every 15 minutes, for a total of 60 minutes. Let cool for 10 minutes before serving.
