These Halloween mini pot pies are the perfect fun comfort food. Make these for your family this Halloween for a delicious and easy home cooked meal.
Prepare your pot pie filling. Cube or shred cooked meat of your choice. If you are using raw vegetables, saute them before adding your additional ingredients. If you are using canned vegetables, just add everything to the saucepan at once.
Make your rue by adding your flour, then slowly adding your water and milk. Cook until sauce thickens and remove from heat.
Prepare small ramekin or other small baking dishes.
Roll out a top and bottom pie crust to fit your baking dishes. Place a bottom crust into each dish. Add pot pie filling.
Place top crust of your choice. Either mummy, jack-o'-lantern, bat, cat, or witch. Brush top crust with milk for golden brown crust.
Place mini pot pies onto a foil covered or silpat lined baking sheet.
Bake at 375 degrees Fahrenheit for 35 minutes or until crust is a deep golden brown.
