Beer Bread Recipe

Today we’re sharing our beer bread recipe. This is the perfect quick bread to make along with your soup, stew or pasta dish.

What is so great about this beer bread recipe?

This bread comes together so quickly and easily.  In less than an hour, you will have a delicious loaf of homemade bread.  This recipe doesn’t call for yeast due to the naturally occurring yeast in the beer.  That’s the magic in this bread as it has very minimal ingredients and takes little to no effort to make.

What is the best beer to use?

The best beer to use for this bread is a light beer or ale.  We have tried using a darker beer but it does give the bread a stronger and slightly bitter taste due to the beer being a stronger flavored beer.

Do you have a beer that was accidently opened and left out at room temperature?  Do you have a beer that you don’t want to drink or that you want to use up?  Well this is the perfect recipe for you to make to use up that beer.

This beer bread recipe is quite versatile.  You can add herbs and spices to make it a savory bread.  You can add cheese and jalapenos to make a cheesy jalapeno bread.  You can use it to make French toast or you can either serve it warm or slightly toasted with a little butter.
