Tiger Stripes Candy

Today we’re sharing one of our family’s favorite holiday candy recipes.  Tiger stripes candy is a chocolate candy for those who like to live life on the wild side.

Homemade candy is typically only made once per year in our household.  We will make enough for us to be able to have some and to also share some with others.  We typically rotate through our favorite candy recipes and sometimes try a new recipe depending on how much candy and sweets are needed.  We do try to limit the amount of candy and sweets we have in our home at any given time.

One of our family’s favorite candy recipes is tiger stripes.  This candy is made from different kinds of chocolate and peanut butter.  This is a very easy recipe that can come together in as little as 20 minutes.  You simply take the time to melt each chocolate with the addition of peanut butter and layer it in your dish.  By layering it you are able to achieve a swirl or stripe effect hence the candy’s name.  Tiger stripes is one of those candies that looks fancy but doesn’t take a great deal of time or effort to make.

How to store tiger stripes candy

This tiger stripes candy should be stored an airtight container.  It can be stored in the refrigerator or freezer depending on your preference.  We enjoy keeping it stored in the freezer and taking some out as needed to make cookie or candy plates or when a sweet treat is needed.
